More details

Note that the Chase Slate® charges a balance transfer fee of either $5 or 5% of the amount of each transfer, whichever is greater. That's a little higher than the 3% you might find on other balance transfer credit cards, but it can be worth paying if it will save you more money on interest charges over time. Chase Slate® The long interest-free window can also help you finance a large expense. But if you don’t need that much time, note that rewards credit cards may offer more value: You'll be hard-pressed to find a lengthier intro APR period, but unlike the Chase Slate®, these cards tend to feature ongoing rewards on your spending, not to mention valuable welcome offers that can be worth hundreds of dollars. A little history

The Chase Slate® was closed to applicants in 2020 and replaced by the Chase Slate Edge℠ in 2021. (That version of the card also offered a good 0% intro APR period.) Chase Slate® Chase Slate Edge℠ But while this refreshed version of the Chase Slate® is still an ideal card for those needing a lengthy interest-free runway, it's no longer the "triple-zero" rarity it used to be. Back then, it still had a $0 annual fee and a 0% intro APR period, but crucially, it also boasted a $0 balance transfer fee. Chase Slate® It's very difficult (not impossible, but difficult) to find a credit card these days that doesn't charge a balance transfer fee, though you may have some luck at credit unions.
